The Founding 100 · 2026
Be there at the beginning.
Housing Pledge will formally open with 100 Founding Pledgers from across housing, finance and care.
One hundred people making personal, public promises to help deliver the right homes for our most vulnerable citizens.
Their names will become the first names in the permanent record of Housing Pledge.
Their Pledge Letters will become its opening words.
Their Pledger numbers will permanently record the order in which those promises were made.
There will only ever be 100 Founding Pledgers.
Request Your Spot →A permanent place in the story.
Housing Pledge will continue long after its first 100 Pledgers.
But it will only begin once.
The first 100 people to make the Housing Pledge will permanently retain their original Pledger number and the designation:
Founding Pledger · 2026
Their place in the founding record cannot be bought, transferred or recreated later.
The first 100 names will always be the first 100 names.

Requesting a spot does not automatically secure one.
A request begins the selection process. Requests are reviewed before an invitation to make the Housing Pledge is issued.
Only once a Pledge has been accepted is a Founding Pledger spot allocated.
Founding Pledger numbers are allocated in the order accepted Pledges are completed.
The Opening Ceremony · 2026
The moment 100 promises become one.
The Founding 100 will come together in 2026 for the Opening Ceremony of Housing Pledge.
Not simply to attend the launch.
To create it.
The ceremony will mark the coming together of the first 100 Housing Pledges and the formal beginning of the work that follows them.
- Different people.
- Different professions.
- Different contributions.
One shared promise: to deliver the right homes for our most vulnerable citizens.
The Founding Pledgers are not simply guests at the Opening Ceremony.
They are the reason it exists.
The Pledge Letter.
Every Pledger is invited to articulate their commitment through a personal Pledge Letter of up to around 750 words, written in their own words.
The letter explains:
- why housing matters to them
- what has shaped their commitment
- what they intend to contribute
- the people or communities they hope their contribution will serve
- what they hope their Pledge will make possible
A Pledge Letter is not a corporate profile. It is not a biography. It is not an advertisement. It is a promise, made public.
The Pledge is made by the individual — not by the organisation they work for or represent.
Organisations do not take the Housing Pledge. Housing associations, care providers, charities, councils and public bodies, lenders, family offices, investment organisations, developers, professional firms and sector bodies may instead become Supporting Partners, helping to make these promises possible.
The annual gift.
Every Pledger makes a small annual gift to support the work of Housing Pledge.
How much you give is entirely your choice, within a deliberately modest range of £12 to £240 per year.
The size of your gift has no bearing on your Pledge or your place within the community; every Pledger matters equally to the movement and to those we serve.
Your gift helps us grow the collective impact of housingpledge.org and directly support innovative organisations working on the ground to deliver the right homes for our most vulnerable citizens.
And each year, at our Annual Impact Awards, we share exactly what your gift made possible.
